The Update got made to get the matching Data for the START Entry Speed using the GPS Triangle League Software…. which will be used at the World Masters in Spain. If you want to do yourself a favor…please purchase it! Of course also the current FREE Skynavigator Software will work there…but is just not as accurate in terms of Start Entry Speed…as the GPS TRIANGLE Rules got a slight update in 2019. Am letzten Weekend vom 24 – 25. August 2019 fang erstmalig ein Eurocup GPS Scale/SLS Wettbewerb in Frankreich statt. Genauer in Selestat ein malerischer Ort mitten im Elsas. Im Horizont die Vogesen. Wirklich ein schöner Fleck. Besonders erfreulich waren die französischen Piloten, welche zum Teil bis 6 Autostunden gefahren sind, um an einem der wenigen GPS Triangle Wettbewerbe in Frankreich teilzunehmen. Der Sommer zeigte sich nochmals von seiner heissen Seite und so wurden auf dem Platz Temperaturen bis 35°C gemessen. Das Team um Jacky Kohler hat alle Teilnehmer bereits ab Freitagabend festlich bewirtet. Flamen Kuchen und Wein war so glaube ich…
The most historical and amazing GPS weekend of all time….. flying laps after laps in burning air pushing the pilots flying at an extremely high level. A World Record flight of 21 Laps by Florian Schambeck. Many 14/15/16/17/18/19 Laps and personal best made all of the Pilots just Happy. Great Support by the PowerschleppTeam towing us up in the air in this sometimes very bumpy air….. and even better support by the Modellflugruppe Untermettingen taking care of all he catering. Die meisten der 18 Piloten haben bereits am Vortag am GPS Sportklasse Wettbewerb teilgenommen. Von daher war uns allen das Gelände vertraut. Im Vergleich zum Vortag hat allerdings der Wind um nahezu 180° gedreht und er kommt kräftig aus südlichen Richtungen. Die Baumreihe zwischen Wendepunkt 2 und 3, die normalerweise ab und zu am Vortag für Tragen gesorgt hatte, war jetzt im Lee. Für den Platz ist diese Windrichtung die am denkbar ungünstigste Variante. Der Wettbewerbsleiter Jörg Etzler hat daher vorsorglich das bereits in der WM 2017 bewährte Taskfile verwenden lassen, damit sich der Wendepunkt 3 nicht ganz so weit…
