In recent times, we had many constructive discussions about the implemented checkcode versions, and especially, which one shall be used… the four-digit or the six-digit checkode!? Without doubt, it is important to use this method in order to validate the values (e.g., number of triangles, average speed), which have been transmitted to the competition office. Since the six-digit checkcode may validate more relevant values, the GPS-Triangle commission has agreed, that from now, only the six-digit checkode will be used for all GPS-Triangle events. Therefore, all pilots need to check their equipment for proper calculation of the six-digit checkcode.
