More than 20 pilots competed at the GPS Triangle Sport class event of Erbach. This constitutes a new attendance record of this still young class. Beside the incumbent World Champion Philip Kolb and other already established pilots, we were also able to welcome new pilots who were interested in competing with others on a triangular course. In addition to the new faces in the GPS Triangle “family”, we also saw next generation Sport class gliders like the new DNAracer from Baudismodel. But the most „impressive“ or rather funny glider of this day was certainly the Multiplex Cularis flown by Michael Knoblauch. Of course, such type of glider is uncompetitive compared to the high-end CFK gliders of its opponents, but Michael as well as all other pilots had a lot of fun.
After seven heats of thrilling Sport class action, we had three proud winners:
- Daniel Aeberli
- Josef Mögn
- Holger Genkinger
Thank you to all pilots, spectators and organizers for this exciting competition and the great day in Erbach!
